Kostis Gardikis is a scientist and artist from Athens.
He has studied classical guitar, harmony, composition, and vocals and works as a musician and sound artist. Under the moniker “Dance with Invisible Partners” he composes records and performs and produces for theater, cinema and visual poetry while performing liveshows of dark electronic pop either solo or as a full-band quintet. He has released two long play records – the critically acclaimed “Honey” (2018) and “#artificial” (2021) which was the first record in Greece to be co-written and co-produced by artificial intelligence and to be sold as NFT.

His works have been presented live in Greece, France, Italy, England, Switzerland, Malta, Lebanon, Serbia and Japan.

Kostis Gardikis is also a founding member, composer, sound designer, composer and producer of the experimental group “lokatola”, with which he released in 2020 the album“ Monotonia roth ” from the label “A Man out of a Man” and the album “ Nekyia ” from Same Difference Music in 2022.

He holds a degree in pharmacy, MSc and PhD in physical chemistry and nanotechnology and works in parallel as a research director, science communicator and researcher in the field of natural product innovation. He has published more than 40 papers in scientific journals and book chapters, he is inventor of 8 patent families with more than 30 independent patent titles, he has acquired funding, coordinated and led Greek framework program and EU research projects of a total value of 16 million euros, while he is invited speaker in global leading scientific conferences.

He is adjunct professor of pharmaceutical technology at Frederick University, School of Pharmacy and invited lecturer at all major Master classes of all pharmacy schools of Greece and Cyprus.

Lately he works at the intersection of technology with science and art to produce works of bio-sound-visual-art that investigate the notions of visibility/invisibility/entropy/chaos/void and cultural preconception. In parallel he produces the third studio album of Dance with Invisible Partners in a Dolby Atmos format.
